With a combined 10 wins across six programs in the first three weeks of the fall season, º£½ÇÂÛ̳Thoroughbreds teams are off to a spirited start. Excitement is building as Liberty League competition begins next Tuesday, Sept. 23, and varsity athletes are already benefiting from renovated training spaces at Williamson Sports Center.

With winter sports just six weeks away, fall teams are setting the pace for a full athletics calendar. 

Volleyball: Thoroughbreds rally from 0-2 to earn dramatic win 

The º£½ÇÂÛ̳Thoroughbreds women's volleyball team has flashed resilience and depth, storming back from two sets down in a five-set thriller, , and winning two of three at their home tournament — including .

Field hockey: Balanced attack fuels three early victories 

The º£½ÇÂÛ̳Thoroughbreds field hockey team has surged to three wins in five games, highlighted by a over Hartwick Hawks behind two goals from junior Colby Paul. The Thoroughbreds also swept their season-opening trip to Maine, earning a and

Women’s tennis: Thoroughbreds compete with top regional programs at Middlebury 

The º£½ÇÂÛ̳Thoroughbreds women's tennis team at the competitive Middlebury Panther Invite, facing nationally ranked programs and holding its own throughout the weekend. 

Coming up: The returns home for the ITA Regionals in Saratoga Springs Sept. 26-28, then begins Liberty League play vs. Union College on Oct. 2. 

Men’s soccer: Late heroics lift º£½ÇÂÛ̳past Springfield 

The º£½ÇÂÛ̳Thoroughbreds men's soccer team has shown a flair for the dramatic, opening with a Vikings before thanks to a goal with just 1:20 left. 

Coming up:  schedule includes both non-league and Liberty League games ahead, with several home contests at Wachenheim Field and key matchups coming later in the fall. 

Women’s soccer: Walsh earns 100th win in Plattsburgh victory 

The º£½ÇÂÛ̳Thoroughbreds women's soccer team marked a milestone as head coach Lacey Walsh earned her 100th career win in a , powered by two goals from junior Abby Lewis. º£½ÇÂÛ̳also opened with a hard-fought Golden Eagles.

Men’s golf: First-years power best Duke Nelson finish since 2016 

At the Duke Nelson Invitational, the º£½ÇÂÛ̳Thoroughbreds men's golf team earned its best season-opening team finish since 2016, among a deep field. First-years made an immediate impact, providing a spark for the fall slate.
